How to use Aangan
Everything you need to make, customise and share a cinematic invitation — in about five minutes.
2. Customise step by step
In the studio, change names and dates, then swap the palette, add motifs like Ganesha, Om, Swastik, Kalash or Diya, and fine-tune every reveal. Change only what you want.
3. Quick preview anytime
Every template card and the studio have a Quick preview button that plays the full film full-screen, so you always know how it will look before exporting.
4. Control the reveals
Select any scene, then any element inside it — text, motif, divider or photo — and set its entrance (stroke reveal, mandala reveal, light sweep…), timing, size and glow.
5. Export your film
Choose 720p, 1080p or 4K and tap Export film. Keep the tab in the foreground while it renders; the video downloads straight to your device.
6. Share on WhatsApp
Tap Share in the studio. On mobile we render a 720p film and hand it to WhatsApp directly; on desktop it downloads so you can attach it.
Install on your phone
Open Aangan in your mobile browser and choose “Add to Home Screen”. It opens full-screen like an app, with the same studio and sharing.

How to make an invitation people actually watch
The best invites are about 45–60 seconds and move in seven beats. Keep one idea per scene, never more than eight words on screen, and give every reveal room to breathe.

1. Divine opening
One motif and one mantra. Ganesha, Om or a diya lighting up sets the tone before any name appears.
Example: “ॐ श्री गणेशाय नमः”
- 5–12s
2. Anticipation
A single warm line that hints at the occasion without revealing it. Keeps the viewer watching.
Example: “Some stories are written by the stars…”
- 12–22s
3. The reveal
The names, big and slow. Give them a full stroke or mask reveal — this is the shot people screenshot.
Example: “Aarav & Ananya”

4. Announcement
What is happening, in five words. Ceremony name and the families.
Example: “are getting married · Sharma & Mehta families”

5. Date reveal
Date and time on their own scene. Never crowd the date with the venue.

6. Venue
Venue and city, with a jharokha or frame motif. Add the map link in the caption, not the film.

7. Closing blessing
A warm invitation line and a fading diya or petals. End on stillness, not motion.
Example: “We would be honoured by your presence.”
Five rules that make it feel expensive
- • One idea per scene — if you need two lines, make two scenes.
- • Max eight words on screen at a time; Devanagari lines even shorter.
- • Slow reveals (1.2–1.8s) read as premium; fast pops read as cheap.
- • Use one accent colour and one motif family throughout — don't mix Ganesha, cake and fireworks.
- • Export 9:16 for WhatsApp status, and keep the film under 60 seconds so it sends as one clip.
Common questions
- Can I start blank and add things later?
- Yes. Defaults are always complete, and every element is optional to edit. Add motifs, photos and colours whenever you like.
- Do templates differ by occasion?
- Yes — each occasion shows its own matching templates first (naming ceremony, birthday, griha pravesh, festival and more), and the words are pre-written for that ceremony.
- Where did my invitation go?
- Drafts are saved on this device automatically. Sign in to keep them with your account and manage hosted pages and guests.
- What formats can I export?
- Portrait 9:16 for WhatsApp status, square 1:1 for Instagram and 16:9 for screens.
